Job Description
Plymouth City Council is seeking a Facilities Support Officer (Grade C – Commercial) to provide essential support within the Facilities Management (Soft Services) team. This temporary role offers the opportunity to contribute to the smooth running of council operations while a permanent appointment is being recruited.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide day-to-day facilities support across council offices and sites.

Assist with building operations, including room set-ups, office moves, and general maintenance tasks.

Monitor and report on facilities issues, escalating where necessary.

Support health, safety, and compliance procedures within council premises.

Deliver excellent customer service to staff and visitors.

Requirements:

Previous experience in facilities support, building services, or a similar role.

Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Awareness of health and safety standards in a facilities environment.
