Business Development Manager
Role Overview:
Custom Solar is recruiting a Business Development Manager to support the expansion of their Sales Team. The role involves identifying, developing, and securing contracts for Solar PV systems and battery storage, with values ranging from £250k to £2million+. Key sectors include commercial, industrial, public sector, and new build commercial developments.
Responsibilities:
-Identify and convert new sales opportunities.
-Engage with corporate end users, building relationships with senior figures.
-Collaborate with internal teams to manage projects from conception to contract signature.
-Work with external partners to provide funding options.
-Develop new business opportunities for the company's O&M offering.
Requirements:
-Proven track record in selling commercial PV systems (desirable)
-Broad technical understanding of Solar PV, battery storage, and UK energy markets.
-Experience in consultative sales processes and managing tendering processes.
-Ability to generate leads, maintain relationships, and convert sales.
-Excellent communication and presentation skills.
-Energetic, self-driven, and motivated to succeed.
-Understanding of financial and funding models.
-Results-oriented with a strong work ethic.
