Inspire, support, and play – every day.

At Premier Education, we believe that every child deserves a fun, active, and nurturing start and end to their school day. Since 1999, we’ve grown from a single football camp to the UK’s leading provider of school physical activity and childcare—delivering over 18 million hours of activity each year. Our work is guided by our Culture Code, built on five core pillars that champion positivity, collaboration, and making a real impact.

Our Wraparound Care programmes offer high-quality before- and after-school childcare, where children are safe, engaged, and excited to learn through play. It’s trusted by parents and loved by children—and we’re looking for dedicated team members to help us make it even better.

About the Role

We’re searching for caring, energetic, and dependable individuals who love working with children. As a Childcare Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in delivering a positive and enriching experience for every child.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Leading fun activities that inspire creativity, movement, and teamwork—indoors and outdoors.
Supporting children’s learning through structured literacy and numeracy time.
Preparing healthy snacks and promoting good eating habits.
Building relationships with children, parents, and school staff to create a safe and trusting environment.
Encouraging inclusive play and development, following recognised play work principles.
What We’re Looking For

A genuine passion for working with children.
A warm, enthusiastic approach and the ability to build rapport quickly.
Team spirit with clear, confident communication skills.
Reliability, independence, and strong organisational skills.
A willingness to complete training in safeguarding, first aid, and food hygiene.
We also offer apprenticeship opportunities for those looking to gain a recognised qualification while working. Whether you're interested in becoming a qualified Playworker or pursuing a career as a Teaching Assistant, you can earn while you learn in a supportive, hands-on environment.

Bonus if you also have:

A Level 2 (or higher) qualification in childcare or a related subject.
Previous experience in a childcare or play-based setting.
Why Work With Us?

A rewarding role where every day brings something new.
Ongoing training and development to help you grow your skills.
Opportunities for career progression, including leadership roles.
