Laboratory Technician

Are you a detail-oriented, reliable individual with a passion for precision and quality? We are looking for a Laboratory Technician to join our team. This role is perfect for someone with experience in a laboratory or food production environment who thrives in a fast-paced setting and values accuracy.

What We Offer:

Competitive Pay: £14.54 per hour, with overtime available for hours over 40.
Flexible Shift Pattern: Monday to Sunday, five-day rotating schedule. Weekday shifts rotate between 05:30, 06:00, 07:00 & 12:00; Saturday 08:00, Sunday 06:00.
Hands-On Training: Receive practical experience and work toward certifications including Level 2 Food Safety, COSHH, HACCP, and opportunities to attend our Dairy Science course.
Supportive Team Environment: Collaborate closely with our Lab Team Leader and Technical Department to maintain the highest standards of product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct sampling and microbiological testing to maintain strict quality control.
• Analyse and interpret test results, identifying irregularities to ensure compliance with company and legal standards.
• Maintain organized laboratory areas and adhere to all COSHH, Health & Safety, and Food Safety protocols.

Important Note: Due to food hygiene regulations, only one solid wedding band is permitted.

Skills & Experience We’re Looking For:

• Strong communication skills and ability to build effective working relationships.
• Experience maintaining high hygiene standards in a lab or production environment.
• GCSEs (Grade B or above) in Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics, or a relevant qualification in Biological Sciences.

Desirable Skills:

• Previous laboratory experience in the dairy or food industry.
• Knowledge of microbiology, food hygiene, and quality control standards.
