Randstad are currently recruiting a Design Manager to work with a very highly regarded tier 1 contractor on a major project in Central London.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively drive and develop solutions to our client's problems
  • Manage the technical risks on projects in relation to design and construction
  • Develop and maintain the design programme, aligned, and linked to the construction
  • Lead on design change control in collaboration with the commercial team
  • Drive the application of digital engineering and BIM objectives
  • Ensure technical compliance of design submissions

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Design Manager in the infrastructure sector, with a focus on heavy civils projects.
  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methodologies, and industry standards.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of driving high-performance teams.
  • Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and build strong relationships.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail.

Experience within the rail and civils sector is desirable for this vacancy.
