Job Category: Interims
Job location Civic Campus, Euclid Street, Swindon, SN1 2JG, United Kingdom
Swindon Borough Council
Hours per week: 7
Start date: Immediate start
Salary: £47.54 per hour
Alternative Provision Quality Assurance Officer
In line with national policy and expectations under the Change Partnership Programme (CPP), the council is committed to implementing a three-tier model of AP. The key focus of the 3-tier model is for AP to be used an intervention (rather than a destination), where children and young people will be supported to remain in mainstream education where possible and receive targeted support to meet their needs. This approach will see vulnerable and disadvantaged pupils receiving ‘the right support at the right time and in the right place’, with more children remaining in mainstream.
Local work has already identified a number of key recommendations over the last 12 months, including a robust Implementation Plan but to operationalise this at pace and consistency.
This role will support the work of the new AP Operational lead to implement an AP Implementation Plan. They will work alongside the Commissioning Team to record, review and QA the Education offer and CYPs Individual Learning Plans all AP settings within SBC.
