We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant to join our Finance Team at River Clyde Homes. This role is essential in supporting the delivery of an excellent creditor and payroll service, maximising sundry income, and ensuring suppliers are paid on time.

Key responsibilities include:

Administer sundry debtor requirements, creditor services, stores financial requirements, payroll processes, and direct debit tasks.
Complete system month-end processes in the absence of the Finance Officer.
Ensure compliance with departmental procedures, organisational policies, and relevant legislation.
Check and process utility charges for void properties.
Liaise with customers and insurance companies regarding contents insurance.
Analyse and cleanse financial commitments within the finance system.
Support system upgrades and other financial administration tasks as required.
To be successful in this role, you will need:

Accountancy Higher or AAT Level 5 qualification (or equivalent) desirable.
Knowledge and experience of payroll, debtors, and creditors processes and systems (essential).
Strong IT skills with the ability to store, produce, and analyse data within agreed timescales.
High level of numeracy and literacy.
Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with internal and external partners and customers.
Ability to work to high standards with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
This role requires accuracy, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering excellent financial services. You’ll be a team player who can manage multiple priorities and contribute to continuous improvement within the Finance function.
