Crynodeb

Happi days is an open plan dog creche. Dogs arrive in the morning, are entertained in groups and go home at the end like a nursery. We have a woodland area that is fenced that groups go for walking in. We feed lunches, keep everywhere clean, top up water, play games and provide rest areas. Cleaning and observing dog behaviour is very important parts of the day. We also have a hotel block for overnight stays and we also have a grooming room which applicants can get involved in.
An exciting opportunity to gain knowledge and skills as a canine carer in a dog day care/ hotel/ groomers environment. Ideal candidates will be happy to go between the two centres in Rendlesham and Martlesham.

Duties will include but not limited to;

Cleaning
Collecting poo
Disinfecting both outside and inside areas, the hotel and the creche
Dealing with customers face to face
Spending time with the dogs, supervising play and learning when to intervene or not
Learning about dog communication in a pack environment and what is acceptable and not.
You will learn about breeds and cross breeds and how this affects their temperament in general but also how each is an individual. You will also learn how to respond to different behaviours such as nervousness and over the top play.

You will also have the opportunity to learn some grooming but not the the grooming qualification.
