We are seeking a reliable Dock Operative to support all operational duties within the Service Yard at Westfield Stratford.
Working closely with the on-site management team and following direction from the Duty Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient environment for all site users.
Job Description
This is a hands-on operational role, requiring strong teamwork, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to ensure smooth back-of-house operations and high service standards.
Key Responsibilities
Control and record all vehicle movements accurately, monitoring dwell times within the Service Yard.
Maintain a safe, secure, and clean working environment for yourself and others.
Support back-of-house operations, including the delivery and receipt of retailer goods.
Assist with “final mile” deliveries and the storage of materials for tenants.
Process all required paperwork and operate relevant IT systems efficiently.
Facilitate effective communication with colleagues, tenants, and management.
Operate Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE) safely where trained and authorised.
Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with site policies, SLAs, and Health & Safety standards.
Promote a positive, team-oriented working culture and support other duties as required.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Good communication skills - both verbal and written.
Confident using Microsoft Office packages and general IT systems.
Strong team player with a positive, proactive attitude.
Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work in a physically demanding environment.
Previous experience in logistics, warehouse, or service yard operations is desirable.
