We're looking for a Senior Design/Engineering Manager (CEM) to join our Design team based in Salford. Hours: 42 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us



What will you be responsible for?

As Senior Design/Engineering Manager, you'll be working within the Assured Delivery team, supporting them in delivering design and engineering assurance on a single project or portfolio of smaller projects at tender and contract stage. Undertaking design management and acting as a discipline specialist during delivery stage. Managing interfaces between Design and Construction teams throughout project development lifecycle, reaching the most efficient and effective solution, whilst meeting all relevant company standards procedures and policies. Discharge contract duties as required which may include CEM, CRE, TWC.

Your day to day will include:

-Leading the design development and acting as a discipline specialist where required

-Ensuring design is delivered in accordance with the design and manage interfaces between Design and Construction teams throughout project development lifecycle

-Leading CSM compliance and requirements management

-Supporting tender and early contractor involvement (ECI) with technical support and management of the design for innovative; compliant and value engineered solutions



What are we looking for?

This role of Senior Design/Engineering Manager is great for you if:

-A degree in Civil Engineering or other relevant engineering degree and professional status with the engineering council (or working towards this)

-Have experience of leading the engineering (design and/or construction) for complex multi-disciplinary projects that have significant change on the railway system

-Have demonstrable experience of undertaking the CEM role on multi-disciplinary projects
