Summary

Full Time, Permanent
We’re expanding our Systems and Enclosures team at Rendlesham, our newest business unit specialising in electromechanical assemblies, enclosure integration, and engineered system solutions for the defence, aerospace, and industrial markets. We’re looking for additional Technicians to help build, test and assemble our products to the highest standards. Experience in mechanical assembly, system build enclosure wiring or electromechanical work is required, full training will be given on our systems. Hours
07.45am - 5.00pm Monday to Thursday
07.45am -12.45pm Friday (1 Friday off every 4 weeks!)
Plus optional overtime available!

Main Responsibilities
• Assemble electromechanical systems and enclosures in line with drawings, build instructions and production plans with minimal supervision.
• Install and route cables, connectors, subassemblies, panels, and hardware as part of system builds.
• Carry out mechanical fitting, basic electrical integration, testing and inspection as required.
• Maintain accuracy, quality, and attention to detail throughout all stages of build.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and uphold high standards of safety and housekeeping.
• Contribute to team performance by maintaining good timekeeping, communication and a positive attitude.
• Assist with training or mentoring of new colleagues when required.
• Comply with Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental procedures at all times.

Experience / Skills / Attributes
• Experience in mechanical assembly, system build, enclosure wiring or general electromechanical work preferred.
• Dexterity and good eyesight.
• Ability to interpret build drawings, wiring diagrams or assembly instructions.
• Fine soldering, crimping or test experience would be advantageous.
• Comfortable using hand tools and workshop equipment safely.
• Strong focus on accuracy, organisation and teamwork.
• Good communication skills and ability to work to deadlines.
• Flexible and positive approach to change and continuous improvement.
