Crynodeb

I have two vacancies for a zero-hours contracted personal assistant (PA,) to support me as part of my PA team. The first post is for a male PA and will involve being the first port of call for any personal care related shifts at times of injury or illness, such as help accessing the shower or getting dressed. The second post requires no support with intimate personal care.

No regular hours are offered but there will be the opportunity to cover staff holidays and sickness, including during the school holidays.

Please see the job description in the application pack for more details.

The hourly rate of pay is £13.07 per hour.

The post holder
An ideal post-holder would be someone who is compassionate, friendly, calm and patient with a good sense of humour. The first post is for males only due to the intimate personal care requirements. A relaxed and compassionate attitude is key to making me feel comfortable in these situations. There is no gender requirement for the second post.

Driver – desirable but not essential.

First aid and moving and handling qualifications are desirable but not essential, as training will be provided. Passing these qualifications is mandatory.

Would be required to have a PVG membership suitable for working with Vulnerable Adults or be willing to join the scheme. This is a legal requirement as the position is a regulated role.

Apply as soon as possible by completing and returning an application form or emailing your CV and covering letter to pajobs@lothiancil.org.uk and remember to quote reference JB WN ML.
