Summary
We’re looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Butcher’s Assistant to join our small, traditional butchery team. You’ll be working closely with an experienced butcher, learning the craft of traditional meat preparation while helping to serve our loyal customers.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in quality, customer service, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
• Assisting the butcher with meat preparation, trimming, and packaging
• Maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety at all times
• Serving customers with friendly, knowledgeable service
• Operating scales, slicers, and other butchery equipment (training provided)
• Keeping the counter and workspace clean, tidy, and well-stocked
• Supporting with deliveries, stock rotation, and general shop duties

• A positive attitude and willingness to learn traditional butchery skills
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Attention to detail and pride in presentation
• Ability to work safely and follow hygiene standards
• Previous retail or food-handling experience is an advantage, but full training will be provided
