Summary

Document Controller
Based in Wembley
Permanent
Office based (potential of hybrid working after probation)
£28-32K per annum based on Experience

To manage company documents by organizing, storing, tracking and distributing them to ensure accuracy, integrity and accessibility for all employees. Key responsibilities include creating document templates and trackers, reviewing and revising documents for accuracy, liaising with project teams, sub-contractors, consultants and clients. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. A strong understating of compliance is paramount.

Experience:

  • Proven Work Experience: Previous Experience as a document controller or in a similar or records management role.
  • System Implementation: Experience in setting up, using and systems and managing document quality control systems and databases
  • Record Keeping: Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate and organized records, including clear number and labelling and where required appropriate naming conventions.
  • Quality Assurance: Experience in document control, ensuring accuracy and adherence to Building Regulations and project specifications
  • Industry Specific Knowledge: Understanding of technical terms, policies and processes within Retrofit/SHDF industry.

Qualifications & Training

  • Specialized Courses: Document Controller Course or Professional Certificate Course - Certified Lead Document Controller NVQ or Level 1 Diploma in Document Control
  • NVQ or Diploma in Document Control
  • Document Management Systems: Proficiency in specific electronic document management systems (EDMS) used in Retrofit Works. Such as Sharepoint, Dropbox, ASITE, Pashub or Viewpoint.
  • Microsoft Office Suite: Strong skills in Microsoft, Word, excel, Powerpoint and Outlook are essential for creating, editing and managing documents
  • NVQ or Diploma in record management
