About the Role
Our Estates team ensures NPL provides a safe, secure, and sustainable workplace—maximising the value of our buildings to support our people, programmes, and long-term goals.
We’re looking for a Compliance Manager to lead statutory compliance across our estate, with a focus on the Teddington and Wraysbury sites. Reporting to the Hard Services Leader, you’ll play a key role in maintaining safe, efficient environments that enable world-leading scientific work.
What you’ll be doing
o Ensure NPL’s building and FM services meet statutory and industry standards
o Lead on the assurance of statutory compliance for the built environment at Teddington
o Work on behalf of the client as part of the Intelligent Client Function with regards to the FM and project delivery services
o Maintain and update Estates procedures in line with legislation and business needs
o Advise, report, and manage compliance risks with stakeholders and the Hard Services Leader
o Develop knowledge, skills and experience associated with area of specialism and stay up to date with industry developments and legislation
About You
What you’ll bring:
• Strong knowledge of UK building services legislation such as Legionella, Fire Safety, Asbestos, Electrical & Mechanical systems (pressure systems, lifting equipment, refrigeration systems, etc.)
• NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent
• Membership of IWFM, IOSH or similar professional body
• Experience using CAFM/CMMS systems to manage compliance
