Summary

Maths Teacher - SEN Specialist Secondary School (Start: January 2026)

Full-time preferred | Part-time considered

We are seeking a passionate and skilled teacher to join Prospero's client school's team from January 2026. Applications are welcome from primary-trained teachers with a strong interest in maths, as well as Key Stage 3 maths specialists. About the School

This SEN Specialist Secondary School supports pupils aged 11-16 with moderate to severe learning difficulties, including autism and communication needs. The curriculum follows the National Curriculum, and pupils in Key Stage 4 work towards Entry Level or GCSE accreditation.

Start Date: January 2026

Contract Type: Permanent or Temp-to-Perm

Salary: M1 - M6 dependent on experience

Hours: 08:00am - 16:00pm (subject to variation)

What We're Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - primary or secondary
- Ideally, experience teaching maths and a commitment to ongoing professional development
- A genuine interest in supporting pupils with SEN, whether from mainstream or specialist settings
- Strong understanding of the KS1 and KS2 maths curriculum (for primary-trained applicants)

- An enhanced DBS certificate registered with the update service (or willingness to apply)
- Up-to-date safeguarding training (or willingness to complete this)
- Referencing to cover the past 24 months
