ABOUT THE SCHOOL

Prospero Teaching is seeking a qualified Science Teacher for an Alternative Provision setting in New Milton, Hampshire, starting December 2025

This is a specialist provision supporting pupils who require an alternative to mainstream education, often due to Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs or other barriers to learning. The school provides a nurturing environment with a strong focus on personalised learning, emotional wellbeing, and positive relationships. Staff work collaboratively to help students achieve academic success and personal growth.

We are looking for a passionate and adaptable Science Teacher who can deliver engaging lessons to KS3 and KS4 learners in small groups. Experience in SEMH or Alternative Provision is desirable but not essential-training and support will be provided. This role is suitable for both experienced teachers and ECTs.

- Pay: From £168.29 per day
- PGCE / QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
- Minimum 1-year Science teaching experience in the UK (mainstream or special education)
- Experience with SEMH or SEN pupils is desirable
- Up-to-date Safeguarding training within the last year
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Be available for 5 full days per week
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to apply for one
- Provide two professional child-related references
