Summary

Our client, a respected educational institution in Newton Abbot, Devon, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Part-time SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing individualised support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring they have the necessary resources and guidance to thrive in their learning environment.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the teaching staff to implement tailored educational plans for each student under your care. The position offers a competitive salary range of £105 to £115 per day, depending on experience and qualifications.

Key responsibilities:

- Monitor and record student progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents
- Assist with the preparation of learning resources and materials
- Attend and contribute to meetings and reviews related to student progress and support strategies

Required qualifications and experience:
- Prior experience working with children or young people with special educational needs
- Strong understanding of various SEN conditions and their impact on learning
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with SEN
- Relevant qualification in education, special needs support, or a related field (desirable)
