Our client, a respected educational institution in Bideford, Devon, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Part-time Teacher Assistant to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting teachers and students, contributing to a positive learning environment that fosters academic growth and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons across various subjects
- Work with individual students or small groups to provide targeted support and guidance
- Help maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment, ensuring that students remain focused and on-task
- Prepare and organise educational materials and resources for lessons and activities
- Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement strategies for students with diverse learning needs
- Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to teachers and parents
- Supervise students during breaks, lunchtimes, and on educational trips or extracurricular activities
- Assist with administrative tasks, such as record-keeping, attendance monitoring, and marking assignments
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- A minimum of a Level 2 qualification in Teaching and Learning or a related field
- Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- A patient, caring, and empathetic approach to working with students of varying abilities and backgrounds
- Proficiency in using technology for educational purposes, such as interactive whiteboards and learning software
- Flexibility and adaptability to work across different age groups and subject areas as required
- A commitment to promoting a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
- A valid Enhanced DBS check and references will be required

Our client offers a competitive salary of £105 to £115 per day, depending on experience and qualifications. The role is part-time, with working hours to be agreed upon based on the school's requirements and the successful candidate's availability.
