Our client, a respected educational institution in Teignmouth, Devon, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Part-time Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their supportive team. The successful candidate will take on the additional role of Cover Supervisor, ensuring continuity of learning during teacher absences.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong academic background, with experience working in a classroom setting. They will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, managing student behaviour, and providing individualised support to help every student reach their full potential. The HLTA will work closely with teachers to plan and implement effective learning strategies, and will be expected to adapt to the varying needs of each class they supervise.

In addition to classroom duties, the HLTA will assist with administrative tasks, maintain accurate records, and contribute to the overall smooth running of the school. They will be a positive role model for students, fostering a love for learning and promoting a safe, inclusive environment.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) status or equivalent qualification
- Proven experience working in a classroom setting
- Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment methods
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
- Relevant degree or professional qualification in education or a related field
- Experience in a cover supervisor role
- First Aid certification
- Proficiency in using educational technology and software
