Our client, a well-established engineering business within the energy and manufacturing sector, is currently looking for an experienced Electrical Technician to join their team.

The RoleAs an Electrical Technician, you'll be responsible for a wide range of workshop and site-based electrical work, including the manufacture, installation, commissioning, and servicing of electrical equipment and control systems.
You'll work closely with engineers and supervisors to deliver projects to a high standard while maintaining full compliance with Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental policies.
Main Responsibilities-
Build and assemble low-voltage electrical panels and systems

Install and maintain control panels and electrical equipment
-
Assist with mechanical assembly when required

Conduct testing, inspection, and maintenance of control systems
-
Route, terminate, and label wiring neatly and accurately
-
Identify and repair faults efficiently
-
Ensure all work meets QHSE and company standards

Occasional travel to client sites may be required
Essential:
-
Time-served Electrical Technician or completed a recognised apprenticeship
-
Proven experience in panel building and electrical installation
-
Strong understanding of motor control systems, PLCs, and automation equipment
-
Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics
-
Excellent attention to detail with strong cable management skills (crimping, soldering, routing)

Knowledge of electrical regulations and safe working practices
-
Strong communication skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Desirable:
-
Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or energy sector environments
-
Familiarity with ISO-certified QHSE frameworks
-
Basic mechanical assembly experience

Previous experience in diagnostics and troubleshooting of control systems

Recognised Electrical Apprenticeship (or equivalent)

Up-to-date understanding of electrical systems and wiring methods
