Job Purpose:

To support the catering team in the preparation, serving, and delivery of high-quality food and drink, while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation of food and beverages under the direction of chefs or supervisors.

Serve meals and refreshments to customers, staff, or pupils in a polite and efficient manner.

Set up and clear down service areas, counters, and dining areas.

Operate tills and handle cash or card payments if required.

Ensure all work areas, equipment, and utensils are cleaned and sanitised to the required standard.

Follow food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures at all times.

Store food and equipment safely, following temperature control and stock rotation procedures.

Assist in the receipt and storage of deliveries.

Dispose of waste safely and in accordance with site policies.

Provide excellent customer service and respond positively to feedback.

Skills and Requirements:

Previous experience in a catering or hospitality role preferred (training can be provided).

Basic understanding of food hygiene and safety regulations.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Reliable, punctual, and well-presented.

Eligibility to work in the UK.
