Job Title: Lifeguard & Front of House AssistantLocation: Ross-on-WyeJob Type: Permanent, Part-Time (20 hours per week)Salary: £12.21 per hourAbout the Role:We’re looking for a confident, friendly, and reliable individual to join our team as a Lifeguard & Front of House Assistant. This is a dual role where you’ll play a key part in keeping our customers safe in the pool while also providing a warm, professional welcome at reception.You’ll be someone who takes pride in great customer service, enjoys being part of a team, and can remain calm and focused under pressure. Whether you’re ensuring safety on poolside or helping customers at the front desk, you’ll be an essential part of creating a positive experience for everyone who visits our centre.What You’ll Do:As a Lifeguard:Provide safe supervision of customers in the pool area.Prevent accidents and respond quickly and effectively to emergencies.Perform rescues and deliver first aid when required.Ensure poolside areas are clean, safe, and well-presented.Promote safe and enjoyable use of our facilities.As a Front of House Assistant:Welcome customers to the centre and provide helpful information about our services and activities.Handle bookings, memberships, and general enquiries efficiently.Process payments accurately and maintain excellent customer service standards.Keep reception and communal areas clean and presentable.Support the team with general day-to-day operations.What We’re Looking For:National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or the ability to successfully complete the course (training may be provided).Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.A friendly, approachable, and proactive attitude.Ability to remain calm, professional, and focused under pressure.Experience in a customer-facing environment is desirable, but not essential.About Halo Leisure:At Halo Leisure, our mission is to “Create Healthier Communities.” We provide affordable and accessible leisure facilities, including gyms, swimming pools, and community centres.
