What skills and experience we're looking for
Tucked away off the corner of the village green, Kingham Primary School looks out over woods and open fields in the countryside of the Cotswolds.
We are seeking a hard-working, nurturing and positive teaching assistant, to support a pupil with physical and learning needs in school. The successful candidate should:
• Have exceptional communication skills and the ability to build a supportive relationship with the pupil you are assigned to
• Have patience, empathy and a can-do attitude
• Be caring
• Be a team player
The hours will be Monday to Friday, 8.45am – 3.15pm during the term-time only. This is a long-term position, but candidates need to know that the position is linked to a specific child, and as such the post will continue while the child remains at our school and requires this level of support. The child is expected to stay in our school for 3 more years.
What the school offers its staff
Pay Grade 6, SCP 8 £26,824 gross annual salary (this will be pro-rated to term time only and part time hours)
Further information and an application pack can be downloaded from the school website https://www.kingham.oxon.sch.uk/vacancies
If you would like to visit the school, or you require further information, please call our Business Manager, Helen Davies, on 01608 658366 (term time only) or email recruitment@kingham.oxon.sch.uk. Visits are welcomed and strongly encouraged.
Closing date: Friday 5th December 9am
Please email completed applications to recruitment@kingham.oxon.sch.uk by Friday 5th December 9am – earlier applications are encouraged and applicants may be invited prior to the closing date.
Kingham Primary School is committed to safeguarding children and successful candidates will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory reference checks.
