Summary
What skills and experience we're looking for
West Hatch is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, well organised and motivated teacher to join our successful DT team in the Food & Hospitality Department. The ability to teach Food, Hospitality and Textiles at KS3 and KS4 would be required. Currently, the department offers Food and Textiles at Year 7 on a carousel structure. Year 8 and 9 experience a combination of Hospitality and Catering lessons that leads into our recently implemented KS4 Technical award in Hospitality and Catering. The successful candidate would have the opportunity to be involved in the further development and successful delivery of these courses.
You will be working with, and supported by a team of experienced, successful and hard-working staff who are committed and passionate about their subjects. The Faculty has a number of modern and well-resourced teaching environments, with recent expansion of the department and its resources further enhancing its success. Food & Textiles is also supported by knowledgeable technicians. The post is suitable for an experienced practitioner or an ECT teacher.
