Role Summary: Finance Officer – Deputyship Service
Team: Corporate Finance Hub – Deputyship Service
Reports to: Deputyship Team Co-ordinator
Remote Work: Available once independent working criteria are met
Purpose:
Support vulnerable adults who lack capacity to manage their finances, ensuring their independence and best interests are protected.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage caseloads of deputyship and appointeeship clients
- Prepare applications for Court of Protection and DWP
- Handle banking, tax returns, and benefits
- Liaise with internal teams and external agencies (e.g., OPG, HMRC, banks)
- Advise stakeholders on legal and financial processes
- Review client finances and arrange necessary services (e.g., funerals)
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, equality, and policies
