Crynodeb
Ensure that all parts and materials are ordered promptly and with correct authorisation. Control and maintain stock items.Issue permits to work and ensure that the permit to work system is rigorously adhered to. Proactively communicate with other Estates team members and colleagues from other Departments regarding repairs and maintenance issues.Follow a defined work schedule and respond to urgent repairs, according to priority. Liaise with the Estates Manager (EMT) to ensure deadlines are achieved. When required, undertake out of hours on call duties as part of the on-call rota to ensure that emergency repairs are promptly attended to. To undertake other reasonable tasks as per management request.When required, use a Trust vehicle to travel to various sites as required Systems and Equipment1.Responsible for the management and use of information systems including handheld devices.2.Undertakes trials/testing of new equipment to develop and improve the delivery of the Estates function.3.Where appropriate, carries out physical testing in line with designated Competent Person duties.4.Utilises a range of hand tools, power tools and testing equipment.5.Qualified craftsperson with understanding of emergency, planned and responsive maintenance requirements.6.Capable of working at height from scaffold platforms, ladders or mechanical equipment. Communication1.Provides, receives and analyses repairs and maintenance information.2.Must be contactable via work mobile phone at all times during working hours.3.Develops and implements effective channels of communication to ensure information is disseminated in a timely and appropriate manner to team members and colleagues from other service areas.4.Proactively communicates with other members of the Estates team to support high standards of performance.5.Adapts personal communication style appropriately to the needs of the audience.
