Birch Wood Special School are recruiting a motivated, reliable, high-quality cleaner who’ll be an essential part of our fantastic team. Birch Wood Area Special School is a dual site school with a strong vision for achieving the best outcomes possible for children with a range of special educational needs. Maintaining exceptional hygiene standards is a critical component of safeguarding our students’ health, comfort, and wellbeing. Role Overview We are seeking a meticulous and reliable School Cleaner to join our site support team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring that all learning spaces, therapeutic areas, and communal facilities are consistently maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Key Responsibilities · Carry out daily cleaning of classrooms, corridors, therapy rooms, sensory spaces, play areas, and restrooms. · Perform enhanced cleaning procedures tailored to the needs of a special educational setting. · Operate cleaning equipment safely and according to instructions. · Follow strict hygiene protocols, including infection control measures and safe disposal of waste. · Work collaboratively with site staff to respond quickly to hygiene or cleaning requests. · Ensure all work is completed in compliance with school policies, safeguarding requirements, and health & safety regulations. .
