Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting on behalf of their client based in Cardiff for a Permanent Asphalt Batch Plant Operative. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Asphalt, Concrete, or Cement Plant Operative seeking career development, stability, and the chance to gain further qualifications.

Key Duties

• Operate and monitor the asphalt production facility.

• Batch asphalt in line with production schedules.

• Carry out basic maintenance and cleaning of plant equipment.

• Use IT systems to manage production processes.

Requirements

• Experience working in an asphalt plant is preferred, though candidates from concrete, cement, mortar, aggregates, or quarrying backgrounds will be considered.

• Understanding of basic plant maintenance.

• Plant licences such as Wheeled Loading Shovel, Articulated Dumper, or 360 Excavator are advantageous.

• Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.

What We Offer

• Competitive hourly rate of £14.31 per hour.

• Overtime paid at x1.5 (after 40 hours per week and on Saturdays) and x2 (on Sundays and bank holidays).

• Support with training, qualifications, and obtaining relevant plant tickets.
