Hays is proud to be partnering with a local council to recruit an experienced Project Manager to lead a major transformation initiative within City Operations. This is a high-impact role focused on restructuring and improving business support services across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Map the current state of Business Support services and identify opportunities for consolidation and improvement.
- Develop a roadmap for introducing new functions such as a Transformation Office and Data Intelligence Unit.
- Engage key stakeholders across departments, including HR, IT, Finance, and Service Leads.
- Lead the design and implementation of a new Target Operating Model (TOM) for Business Improvement and Support.
- Establish governance structures including steering and working groups.
- Identify and manage risks related to service disruption, staff morale, and data integrity.
- Ensure compliance with HR policies, data protection regulations, and organisational change protocols.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocations.
- Provide regular updates to the City Operations Transformation Board.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Proven experience managing large-scale change projects within complex organisations.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and leadership skills.
- Ability to navigate organisational structures and drive transformation.
- Familiarity with public sector environments is advantageous.
