A National Award Winning Housing Developer is looking to expand their team in the West Midlands.

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Site Manager for a new build housing development in Nuneaton. The successful candidate will be offered a personalised training and development programme from day one and the opportunity to fast track to Site Manager within 12-18 months.

Job Duties:

• Assist the Site Manager in overseeing the construction site and ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with company procedures and health and safety regulations
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and tradespeople on site
• Monitor progress and quality of workmanship to ensure project milestones are met
• Maintain accurate site records, including daily diaries, site inductions, and health and safety records
• Manage site logistics and ensure materials are ordered and delivered on time

Required Qualifications:

• SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
• CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme)
• First Aid certification
• Valid Driving Licence
• Scaffold qualification

Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations in the construction industry
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet project deadlines
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction management software

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager
• Additional health and safety certifications

Working Conditions:

The role involves working on a construction site, which may involve exposure to various weather conditions and physical demands. Regular travel between sites within the West Midlands region is required.
