The ideal candidate will possess:
- Proven experience as a Plasterer or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools relevant to plastering and construction.
- A valid driver's licence - a company van will be provided for work use only.
- Knowledge of bricklaying and masonry techniques is advantageous.
- Basic carpentry skills for effective collaboration with other trades.
- Familiarity with roofing processes for certain projects.
- Willingness to learn welding skills, though prior experience is not essential.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Applying plaster to walls and ceilings, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
- Preparing surfaces for plastering by cleaning, repairing, and priming as necessary.
- Collaborating with bricklayers and masons to ensure proper integration of plaster with other building materials.
- Conducting repairs on existing plasterwork, including patching and re-finishing damaged areas.
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
