Are you a HCPC registered Clinical or Counselling Psychologist experienced in CAMHS?

Are ready for your next step into a Senior role where you will clinically lead a team?

Here in the CAMHS Anxiety Disorders Treatment Team (ADTT) we are looking for a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to join us helping children and young people across Berkshire. We offer intensive evidence-based treatments for anxiety disorders, obsessive compulsive and related disorders.

This is a rare Band 8B position and is perfect for an experienced psychologist ready to take their next step in a genuinely collaborative, positive and compassionate environment.

As a senior lead you’ll have an onsite presence in the team at our fantastic base at the University of Reading. There’ll be occasional community travel and options for some homeworking.

Day to day you will manage a small caseload providing expert psychological assessment and therapy; offer clinical leadership, consultation, and supervision to colleagues; develop and oversee intensive risk management plans, supporting young people who require multi-agency involvement. You will work in partnership with the Team Manager to uphold clinical standards and drive quality improvements that enhance outcomes for children and young people.

You will also be part of the transformational leadership group for CAMHS, with the opportunity to do a transformational leadership course at Reading University as well as being part of the Trust Psychology network.
• Responsible for the delivery of psychological therapy within ADTT, providing expert professional leadership and advice relating to the delivery of psychological therapy for complex presentations requiring multiple interventions, complex or intensive risk management plans and high levels of multiagency working to ensure and develop consistently high quality, safe and cost-effective services for users, working in partnership with key stakeholders internal and external to the Trust.
• As we develop our on-line offer, to undertake a role in moderating service user activity on the Trust Support, Hope, Recovery On-Line Network (SHaRON) and to participate in on-line discussions and care delivery via this modality.
• Responsible for expert psychological assessment, case formulation, risk assessment and treatment for a designated number of patients presenting with complex mental health difficulties.
• To support the development and implementation of frameworks and strategies that improve clinical practice, governance, education, learning, performance, management and quality in the service and across the Trust
• To support the further development and maintenance of support services delivered by the team, including but not exclusive too, the advice and consultation function, CYPF digital services including Young SHaRON and the online resource.

The “must haves” for this role:

• Post graduatedoctoral qualification in clinical or counselling psychology (or equivalent)
• Registered and accredited with HCPC or UKCP/BPC
• Evidence of post-doctoral specialist training to accreditable level in at least 2 areas of psychological practice
• Leadershipexperience and a successfultrack recordin leading service delivery and contributing to service transformation
