Summary
We are a small independent Day Nursery based in Winnersh, Berkshire where every child and adult are part of our family. At Acorns we are proud of our reputation and partnership with parents. We nurture our children through the love of learning experiences through p[lay both indoors and outdoors. We are looking for a special person with a passion, desire and commitment to work within our home from home setting to support us through our busy lunchtime period.
Your role will include:
*To work as part of the nursery team in the delivery of high-quality opportunities to ensure all our children make good progress in all areas of their learning and development.
*Work within the framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage, Safeguarding and Health, Safety & Wellbeing.
*To support babies and young children at lunchtime encouraging self serving and supporting independence skills
*General cleaning duties ie wiping tables, sweeping floors, cleaning toys and resources.
You must
*Ideally hold a NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Early Years & Education or equivalent. However candidates with experience of working with young children will be considerd.
*Undertake an enhanced DBS certificate and subscribe to the update service.
*Have a genuine passion and interest in working with children.
*Be a great team player.
*Be reliable, flexible and punctual.
*Be able to use initiative.
*Good communication skills both written and verbal.

This is a part-time position 15 hours per week / 3 hours each day 11.30am - 2.30pm each day. Additional hours may become available to support the needs of the nursery time due to holiday cover, sickness, etc. We close for Bank holidays and the period between Christmas and New Year.
