Are you passionate about Children and Young Peoples services and Nursing? Do you want to be part of our Pathway to Excellence designated organisation ? We are looking for a Matron for our Children's Services.

You will have the opportunity to help shape the future direction of our Children's Services and take part in hospital wide initiatives to improve patient care and experience.

We are keen to hear from individuals who have experience working at a senior nurse level within children's services and are keen to embrace change and provide visible nursing inspiration.

As Matron you will have responsibility for the delivery of high quality, responsive, safe and effective care that improves patient outcomes and patient experience.

A high profile, accessible and responsive leader with managerial responsibility for nursing service delivery and advice across Children’s services. Working as a nursing lead within the group management structure, demonstrating and developing collaborative working within and across the MDT. The Modern Matron has a pivotal role in creating the best experiences and opportunities for our staff to become local, national, and international leaders in healthcare with the patient at the centre of everything we do.

Successful applicants will be required to provide an immunisation and vaccination report, from either their current UK occupational health provider or their UK GP.

TheModernMatron’sroleistoempowerotherstostriveforcontinuousevidencedbasedimprovementsandtomotivatestafftoalwaysdeliverthehighestqualitycaretoallwhoaccessourservicestopromoteWorldClassCareatUHCWNHSTrust.Thematronwillbeabletomakeinformeddecisionswithintheirownspecialityandscopeofprofessionalpractice,involvingpatientsandpublictoensureagreedstandards,targetsandobjectivesaremet.Thekeyfocusisonquality improvementsinsafety,effectiveness,andpatientexperienceinadditiontocorporateresponsibilities,supportingothercolleaguesandpaediatriconcallrotaswithinthe speciality.ThematronwillalsoberesponsiblefordeliveringthegoalsasdescribedwithintheMatron’sCharter(2019)takingaproactiveaswellasreactivestanceoncleaningstandardsandinfectioncontrol. Ensuring the voice of the child is at the heart of the care delivery and service design.
