Personal Home Care Assistant (Culloden, Inverness)
Role Summary
Assist with all aspects of daily living including:
Build a supportive & responsive relationship towards care needs.
Assist with washing, dressing, continence care and hoisting.
Meal preparation including cooking.
Dispensing medication.
General housekeeping duties.
Use of a ceiling hoist whilst being mindful of moving & handling techniques at all time.
Attributes and skills required
Experience in hoisting.
Caring & sensitive personality.
Outgoing with a good sense of humour.
Flexible & adaptable with the ability to manage a range of support tasks.
Honest, reliable and trustworthy.
Ability to work unsupervised.
Patient and understanding.
Availability Required
Initially: Sundays 9am-9pm also for holiday cover, sickness, etc.
Following a probationary period shifts can be combined to allow for 24 hour care cover including support during overnight shifts. This option is not compulsory.
Salary
£14.75 per hour plus holiday allowance (pro rata) and 3% employer pension contribution.
