Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:45am – 5:15pm
Pay: £24.99 per hour + holiday pay (paid weekly, every Friday)
About the Role:
We are seeking two experienced and dedicated Social Workers to join our Adult Social Care team based inBodmin. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of adults across North Cornwall, working with individuals and their families to deliver high-quality, person-centred care and support.
You will be responsible for carrying out assessments, support planning, reviews, and safeguarding work, ensuring all interventions meet professional standards and promote independence and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
• Undertake social care assessments and develop support plans and reviews in line with statutory requirements.
• Complete safeguarding work and manage associated cases effectively.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and with professionals outside of Adult Social Care.
• Maintain accurate and timely records using digital systems.
• Attend team meetings every Wednesday.
• Undertake community visits across Tintagel, Camelford, Wadebridge, and Rock as required (approximately two days per week depending on workload and preference).
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
• Qualified and registered Social Worker (Social Work England registration required).
• Strong understanding of social care legislation, safeguarding, and best practice.
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
• Confident using IT systems, including Microsoft Teams and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to manage a busy caseload and prioritise effectively.
Special Requirements:
• Must be able to travel for community visits across the locality.
• Attendance required for team day each Wednesday.
