Ideally situated near Angel and Highbury & Islington stations, the site benefits from excellent transport links and easy access across London.InformationPosition: Security OfficerLocation: North London (N1) Pay Rate: £14.00 per hourHours: Average 42 hour per weekShifts: Days & Nights - 4 on 4 off - 12 hoursJob Role / Requirements:SIA Door Supervisor Licence requiredSIA CCTV Licence required Security and customer service experience is requiredMust be flexible and be able to work; days, nights, weekends and have the flexibility to change shifts due to operational needsMust have good command of English languageGood levels of customer service, communication both written & verbal at all timesComputer literate in Microsoft Word & OutlookFlexible in the approach to daily duties and additional events when held on site.This position involves external patrolling throughout the shift, must be able to stand/walk for extended periods when asked in all weatherMaintains working knowledge of the locations & security & safety for assigned areasFlexible in the approach to daily dutiesFirst Aid qualification & a CCTV SIA Licence is a bonusMust have five years of checkable work historyThis opportunity is for dynamic and enthusiastic Security Officers to become part of a team keeping a newly built, high-quality North London retail and residential development safe and secure in line with customer expectations.You will need to be very much a team player as you help deliver a range of services including internal & external patrol, Loading bay duties, standing for long periods, gatehouse & control room functions and will be expected to develop excellent working relations with the variety of workers and residents you encounter across the estate.Job Responsibilities: Able to demonstrate and deliver high quality guarding and customer service to both our customers and service users - To preserve order and to secure premises, people, and assets.To take all reasonable and required measures to protect venue.To convey a smart, well-groomed appearance in approved uniform, provide a first-class customer service and display high levels of vigilance throughout a shift, making a good first impression.To portray a friendly, professional, and courteous demeanour always, using open and appropriate body language.Vigilance is key in this regard - any untoward activity and/or security related concerns must be immediately reported to Security Control.To be customer service facing - Polite, Positive and Professional at all times - every single colleague, tenant and visitor is a customer and must be treated as such.Perform internal and external patrols of the estate, noting all observations and ensuring that any untoward activity or issues are immediately reported.Respond to alarm activations and investigate disturbances as instructed.Write reports of daily activities and irregularities (statements and incident reports), such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorised persons or any unusual occurrencesReception duties when required and follow correct sign in / sign out process for visitors.Officers are to act as a high profile and mobile security presence, remaining alert to all activity.Explaining the no parking policy to any unauthorised vehicle.The above details are not exhaustive but is designed to provide a general overview of the Security Officer role.
