The Trust is offering an exciting opportunity to join (NHSTTW) Internship Programme.

We are looking for enthusiastic and committed individuals with excellent communication and engagement skills. Applicants who have experience working within mental health particularly a community setting, or personal experience of mental health problems are encouraged to apply. As are those who live in and have knowledge of the Wandsworth area.

We want to increase the diversity of our staff so particularly encourage applicants from underrepresented groups, e.g. Men, LGBTQ+ and those from Black Asian and other under-represented communities.

Co-design, edit, develop and co-facilitate wellbeing workshops

Engage with underrepresented groups in the community through current and new networks

Provide outreach and drop-ins at various community events

Raise awareness of the service within the community via marketing and meetings with local representatives

Opportunities to shadow and Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners delivering CBT interventions online.

Opportunities to work alongside Psychologists and CBT therapists supporting special interest champion groups.

Develop partnerships with GPs and their practice staff;

Assist the Wellbeing Team with carrying out assessments, data collection and data entry

Collate and input data when necessary to report to stakeholders within the organisation

Improving access rates is a key challenge facing all NHS TT services.

Successful applicants would be part of a team working on this high-priority task in creative and innovative ways.

Supporting the work of qualified clinicians and Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners & community wellbeing practitioner in identifying local populations who are underserved and improving pathways for those populations

Joining the Wellbeing Team to edit, develop and co-facilitate wellbeing workshops

Provide outreach and drop-ins at various community events

To contribute to evaluation, research and education as appropriate (e.g. literature searches, preparing group materials, posters and other presentations)

To co-facilitate psycho educational groups and workshops, including supporting Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners & Wellbeing Practitioners in preparing materials for these

To shadow protocol-based psychological assessments of clients, including self-report measures, rating scales, direct and indirect structured observations and semi-structured interviews with clients and others involved in the client’s care, with opportunities to conduct these.

Raise awareness of the service within the community via marketing and meetings with local representatives

Develop partnerships with GPs and their practice staff

Supporting the direct marketing activities of the NHS Wandsworth Talking Therapies Service. This will include developing local marketing plans, promoting the service through community events, and in community settings. It will also include developing new relationships with local community centres, healthcare providers and businesses.
