About the Role



Our client, a respected housing association, is seeking a proactive and community-focused Neighbourhood Response Officer. This role is essential in maintaining safe, clean, and well-managed neighbourhoods where residents feel supported and proud to live.

You will play a key role in supporting vulnerable customers, resolving tenancy issues, responding to anti-social behaviour, and working collaboratively with residents, local partners, and internal teams.

This is a customer-facing role involving daily travel across neighbourhood patches, either from home or from the Leatherhead office.



Key Responsibilities



Develop and implement neighbourhood plans and local service offers
Carry out regular estate inspections and ensure fire safety actions are completed
Build relationships with resident groups, supporting events and community projects
Liaise with local authorities, police, and partner agencies regarding safety and ASB
Work closely with internal departments to coordinate neighbourhood services
Support customers in tenancy breach, welfare needs, or requiring signposting
Carry out tenancy viewings, sign-ups, and assignments
Attend and represent the organisation at court hearings (e.g. evictions, stays)
Complete property condition checks and support during major incidents or decants



What You’ll Need



Own vehicle and ability to travel across patches
Ability to work independently and manage a busy caseload across multiple locations
Basic DBS clearance
Good general IT skills (CRM systems, databases, Outlook, reporting tools)
Strong customer service and community engagement skills
Ability to build positive relationships across teams and partner organisations
Confident decision-making and problem-solving approach
Resilient, adaptable, and calm under pressure
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience in housing, neighbourhood management, customer services, or similar roles
Willingness to work occasional early evenings/weekends when required
