Crynodeb
We are looking for a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our food production team. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining hygiene, cleanliness, and operational support across our factory to ensure safe, legal, and high-quality food production.
You’ll be working as part of a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and teamwork are essential to keeping production running smoothly and safely.
Key Responsibilities
• Clean and sanitize production areas, equipment, utensils, and tools according to hygiene schedules.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness in kitchens, prep areas, and wash-up zones.
• Support production teams by ensuring equipment is available and ready for use.
• Handle cleaning chemicals safely and in accordance with COSHH and company training.
• Segregate and dispose of waste, food scraps, and packaging materials responsibly.
• Conduct end-of-shift deep cleaning and assist with hygiene verification tasks.
• Always Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and company hygiene procedures.
• Report any maintenance, hygiene, or safety issues to the Hygiene or Production Supervisor.
What We’re Looking For
• Previous experience in a food factory, catering, or hygiene environment (preferred but not essential).
• Basic understanding of food hygiene, health & safety, and cross-contamination control.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions.
• Physically fit and comfortable working in chilled or warm factory areas.
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.
