Job Description
Join our dynamic culinary team as a Commis Chef in Broughton, United Kingdom! We're looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual to assist in creating exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
- Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and standards set by the head chef and sous chef
- Ensure adherence to food safety standards throughout all food preparation processes
- Manage assigned station, overseeing production of food items and maintaining cleanliness
- Uphold high-quality standards for all food handled, focusing on presentation and taste
- Collaborate effectively with team members and provide support to colleagues as needed
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization, ensuring equipment is in good working order
- Assist in inventory management and restocking of supplies
- Contribute to menu development and suggest improvements to existing dishes
- Adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Commis Chef or demonstrated passion for culinary arts
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items when necessary
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and adjusting recipes
- Willingness to learn and grow in a professional kitchen setting
