About the Role

We are recruiting an experienced and proactive Deputy Manager for a well-respected residential care home in Stockport. This is a fast-paced position where you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring residents receive the highest standard of person-centred care.

You’ll work closely with the Home Manager to maintain compliance, lead the care team, and manage critical operational areas such as admissions, discharges, and care delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee admissions and discharges, ensuring a smooth and person-centred process.

  
  

• Liaise effectively with healthcare professionals, families, and external agencies.

  
  

• Lead, support, and motivate care staff to deliver outstanding care.

  
  

• Write, review, and update care plans in line with residents’ needs.

  
  

• Conduct audits and maintain compliance with CQC standards.

  
  

• Assist the Home Manager with staff management, training, and supervision.

  
  

• Promote a positive and caring culture within the home.

  
  About You

  • Previous experience in a residential care home, ideally in a Deputy Manager or senior supervisory role.

    
    

  • Confident liaising with multidisciplinary teams and healthcare professionals.

    
    

  • Excellent knowledge of CQC regulations and quality standards.

    
    

  • Strong organisational and leadership skills.

    
    

  • NVQ Level 3
