Summary
Outreach Worker - Redbridge Borough (Temporary, 3 Months)
£17.88 per hour (including holiday pay)
37.5 hours per week | Monday-Friday, 6:00AM-2:30PM
We're seeking a dedicated Outreach Worker to provide vital support to rough sleepers across Redbridge. This community-based role involves lone working and travel throughout the borough to engage and assist clients in need.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver street-based assessments and follow-up casework for rough sleepers

Plan and carry out outreach shifts and annual street counts

Support clients in accessing accommodation, health, and support services

Work collaboratively with partner agencies on homelessness initiatives

Lead on crisis intervention and contribute to service development
About You:
You'll bring:

Experience working with homeless or vulnerable people

Knowledge of substance misuse, harm minimisation, and housing pathways

Understanding of benefit entitlements, immigration issues, and local support services

Strong organisational, communication, and IT skills

The ability to work flexibly and manage dynamic, challenging situations
