University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire (UHCW) NHS Trust
Fixed term Band 6 Specialist Dietitian 1.0 WTE - Combined 0.8 WTE Renal with 0.2 WTE Hepatology (to cover maternity leave)
This is an exciting opportunity, for a band 6 Dietitian to join two separate established specialist teams of renal and liver/gastro dietitians.
Nutritional support (including enteral feeding) and acute NHS ward experience are essential for this role, and dietetic experience in renal, liver and gastroenterology is very desirable but not essential.
You will be working within our large, friendly dynamic Dietetic department. The trust uses electronic patient record keeping and has excellent library facilities. The department also supports return to practice, and flexible working.
This post holder will be based at the UHCW hospital in Coventry, but there would be the opportunity to cover renal services across Warwickshire (although the ability to travel is not an essential requirement for this role).
Secondment will be considered for internal candidates – If you are successful after interview, you must obtain approval from your current line manager to accept the offer.
Successful applicants will be required to provide an immunisation and vaccination report, from either their current UK occupational health provider or their UK GP.
We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic & experienced Dietitian with excellent communication and team working skills, to work as an integral member of these teams.
The role will include a case load of renal & liver inpatients and outpatients. There will be the opportunity to provide input to pre-dialysis, dialysis, renal transplant services and gastro and liver services, and both elements of the role have a strong MDT focus.
The whole department is actively involved in student training and committed to CPD. As a member of the dietetic team you will take an active part in the provision of training programs for A, B and C Dietetic Students.
