Summary

We are seeking an experienced and fully certified telehandler driver for a temporary holiday cover role on a busy new build housing site in South Otterington. This is a crucial position to maintain site operations efficiently during a key period.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely operating the telehandler on site, moving materials (pallets, bricks, timber, etc.) to designated areas and around the site layout.
  • Loading and unloading delivery vehicles.
  • Performing daily pre-start checks, including fluid levels and safety checks, and reporting any defects immediately.
  • Working closely with the site management and trade teams to meet operational requirements.
  • Strictly adhering to all site health & safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • CPCS or NPORS telehandler certification is mandatory.
  • A valid CSCS Card is essential.
  • Proven experience operating a telescopic handler on a busy residential or commercial construction site.
  • Excellent understanding of safe working practices and load stability.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and good communication skills are a must.
  • Must have your own suitable PPE.
  • Full UK driving licence.
