Summary

Qualified Social Worker – Redbridge - £32 - Join 3D Recruit

Intro:
The Redbridge Safeguarding Team is seeking qualified Social Workers who are committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred safeguarding interventions under the Care Act 2014 and related legislation to adults at risk. The ideal candidate will uphold dignity, respect, and promote the empowerment of adults at risk while demonstrating practice which promotes equality, diversity, and anti-discriminatory practice. The candidate will also be prepared to demonstrate resilience, empathy, and reflective practice.



Key Responsibilities:

Lead on Section 42 Care Act enquiries, ensuring proportionate, timely, and outcome-focused investigations.
Assess and manage risk of abuse or neglect, using professional judgement to balance autonomy and protection.
Apply Making Safeguarding Personal (MSP) principles throughout the enquiry.
Collaborative to achieve positive outcomes for adults and their carers.
Undertake capacity assessments and best interest decisions in accordance with the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
Coordinate safeguarding plans and ensure effective review and closure of enquiries.
Identify and escalate concerns about organisational neglect or provider quality issues through agreed pathways.
Promote a culture of trauma-informed and strengths-based practice.
Work collaboratively with health, police, housing, and other partner agencies to promote coordinated safeguarding responses.
Participate in multi-agency meetings, including Strategy Meetings, Provider Support Meetings, Case Conferences, and MARM (Multi-Agency Risk Management) panels.
Provide professional safeguarding advice to colleagues and partner agencies.
Ensure that the voice of the adult and their desired outcomes are central to all decision-making.
Maintain accurate and analytical case records and reports that evidence professional reasoning.

Essential Requirements:

Degree/Masters in Social Work and SWE registration.

2+ years of post-qualification experience.

Strong knowledge of UK social care legislation and practice.
