Job Overview
The post holder will provide administrative support, undertake and manage bookings, and generally support the efficient running of the audiology department at the Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS foundation trust. They must demonstrate excellent communication skills with both colleagues and the general public. The post holder will be required to book all areas of audiology including both adults and paediatrics.
Main duties
The main duties of this role are listed below
· To provide admin support and booking appointments for all audiology services ensuring that clinical capacity is maximised and waiting lists are in line with both trust and national guidance
· Work on the department telephone system receiving calls from both adults and paediatrics audiology patients and supporting any queries in an efficient manner.
· To work on the department to reception dealing with face-to-face queries, and booking patients in when required, all in line with trust information governance procedures
· To communicate with both staff and patients in a polite and professional manner
