The post holder will work closely with with the Digital Medicines Team including Chief Clinical Information Officer, Lead EPMA Pharmacist and Pharmacy IT operations manager. The role will be delivered across an appropriate range of digital pharmacy aspects including helping to deliver projects and managing current systems
Routine maintenance of data quality within the Careflow pharmacy system.
Maintenance and development of the dispensary automated robots
Delivery and development of training plans and materials relating to Pharmacy IM&T Leadership, co-ordination and participation in pharmacy.
IM&T developments as determined by the Chief Clinical Information Officer and the needs of the Pharmacy department.
Deputising for the Chief Clinical Information Officer, Lead EPMA Pharmacist and the Pharmacy IT Operations Manager where necessary to represent Pharmacy and/ or maintain appropriate levels of IM&T support to the Pharmacy Directorate.

Maintenance and development of the Careflow Pharmacy system database in terms of updating data and maintaining data quality.
Provision of advice and support to Pharmacy Purchasing staff in relation to their data updates in order to maintain data quality.
Liaison with senior staff within Pharmacy operational sections to ensure the appropriate implementation and utilisation of the Careflow Pharmacy system in the delivery of their services.
Assist the Pharmacy IM&T Analyst in the production, implementation and development of reports from the Careflow Pharmacy system as required by the information needs of the Pharmacy Directorate or its clients.
Liaise with senior staff within Pharmacy operational sections to facilitate the implementation and development of training packages (programmes & materials) for pharmacy staff relating to pharmacy IM&T solutions.
Deliver training to all pharmacy staff relating to pharmacy IM&T solutions, in conjunction with senior staff within the Digital Medicines Team.
Where appropriate, facilitate & provide out of hours support to pharmacy staff in relation to resolving problems with pharmacy IM&T solutions.
Standard Pharmacy Post Duties
1. To co-operate with objective setting, individual personal assessment and continuing education and training programmes, in order to ensure continuing professional development and competence to practice as required by clinical governance.
2. Together with other members of staff to ensure that
a. work is carried out in accordance with current departmental procedures and legislation
b. regulations in respect of the Health & Safety at Work Act, COSHH and other pertinent recommendations are complied with.
3. To respond positively and co-operate fully with changes that may occur which affect the current practices within the pharmacy departments, such as the introduction of new equipment, policies and amendments to working hours.
4. To participate in evening, weekend and Bank Holiday working in keeping with the Pharmacy Directorate arrangements and the needs of the Trust performing dispensing and the final checking of others' dispensing.
