Principle Responsibilities
1. To ensure, within the clinical ethos of the home, the highest standards of care for each resident, assisting them in ensuring that their daily needs are met. This will include their hygiene, dietary and self-help needs.
2. To work as a team in meeting the individual needs of clients in a way that is consistent, respects the dignity of the individual, and promotes independence. In liaison with colleagues ensure that the physical environment for residents is appropriate and supports the highest standards of care.
3. Ensuring the constant and consistent delivery of all care, writing reports, daily notes, maintaining necessary records and communicating with colleagues as appropriate.
4. To assist clients to adhere to their care plans.
The post holder will be a person capable of supporting individuals who have a level of Dementia and /or associated behavioural issues.
The post holder will display an attitude, which fosters good working relationships and empowers clients to make their own decisions as far as is practicable.
They must be versatile and adaptable enough to learn and use a variety of skills.
They must also be able to work as part of an enthusiastic and committed team.
He/she will be responsible to the senior staff that are in turn responsible to the registered manager and will report to either at any given time. He/she will maintain good relationships with all colleagues and will adhere to the requirements of the registering authorities, for example, The Commission for Social Care and the local Social Services Teams. They will also adhere to all policies adopted by The Dryclough Manor, particularly in relation to confidentiality and professional behaviour.
